From Cash to QR: BOF Backs PalengQR Ph Plus Launch in Porac 

Committed to expanding access to practical and inclusive financial solutions, BOF joined the launch of PalengQR Ph Plus on Tuesday, March 10, at the New Municipal Convention Hall in Porac, Pampanga, reinforcing its support for initiatives that promote financial inclusion and digital adoption. 

The program forms part of the Porac’s broader push for digitalization across public markets, transportation, and businesses while enhancing the efficiency of government services. By encouraging the use of QR-based payments, PalengQR Ph Plus empowers the people of Porac to experience faster, more convenient, and secure transactions. 

The launch gathered key leaders from the public and private sectors. Present were Acting Municipal Mayor Trisha Angelie G. Capil, Municipal Administrator Nila D. Yumul, and Porac Public Market Vendors Association President Edgar Infante. Officials from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas attended the event led by Acting Area Director Rhod Michael A. Leyson, alongside Department of Trade and Industry Acting Provincial Director Ma. Cristina B. Evangelista. In a recorded message, BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. emphasized the importance of digital payments in building a more inclusive financial ecosystem. 

Representing BOF were Porac Branch Senior Manager Rhia R. Santiago, Teller Angela Mae Chantengco, and the Marketing and Communications Group. Through its participation, BOF affirms its commitment to advancing customer-focused financial services while supporting digital progress across the countryside.
